Brought To You Courtesy, of the Red, White and Blue....

So yesterday after our hike (which i will post about later) we were driving to Jen's house for breakfast. the song that goes "hey uncle SAM put your name at the top of his list, and the statue of liberty started shaking her fist, and the eagles will fly and there's gonna be hell, when you hear mother freedom start ringing her bell, and it'll feel like the whole wide world is coming down on you...yeah brought to your courtesy, of the red, white, and blue..." so yeah i love the American-ness of the song, but i said to Dan " i wish they didn't have to say it like that (when the part came that said "we'll put a boot in your a**" and Dan said "well, i don't think its literal." and i just looked at him, and said "Yeah, i KNOW its not literal..." and then i think we got to talking about it, and i said "i just don't like that it swears", and Dan was like "where does it swear" so i realized we were not on the same page...so i Dan thought they were saying "we'll put a bullet in your eye"....and thought it offended me that they would try that, so he was reassuring me that war wasn't literal in that way....when i told him what it really said we both had a pretty good laugh. and we heard the song several others times yesterday...and yah both times i couldn't stop laughing. ....brought to your courtesy, of the red, white and blue....
