24th of July Float Preview

just a heads up, these are backwards. so this is the last picture i took (above) and below are all going in succession to when we first got there...sorry.
these of margo and andrew are just adorable i think. she is SO good with the kids. she LOVES to play with them, and doesn't care who's watching, or where we are, she will race with them, help them catch snakes, whatever...she just loves playing with them. and they LOVE that about her.
they were watching a float that had things pop up, andrew REALLY liked that surprise element...
i loved the waves on the float below. and above i thought was just neat with the arch.
in front of the float we liked best. they let me hold a cricket...;)
the moose is for you alaska fam!
here is andrew by the moving puppy, he was so excited to stand next to it...after all, most of the time he IS playing puppy.

Tonight we went to the float preview for the 24th of July parade. we also got to cast our vote for the best float. i think we all chose the seagull and cricket float, it was a really neat one. they handed out fact sheets, and things to search for on their floats, and i liked the idea of the whole thing, although it was really neat to see so many different ideas and talents at work. andrew really liked the moving puppy
which i posted pics of him with, he was really excited that he got to stand on one of the floats. there was somebody from the float there who offered to let him stand next to the puppy. we had a great time. earlier today i took andrew to Draper park to ride his new bicycle, but i avoided the big hill til i get him a helmet, and when i told dan i would avoid that hill andrew was listening, because when we passed it he said matter of factly- "i won't fall down that hill. babies fall. babies can't pedal. big boys pedal. big boys don't fall". but did honor my request that we NOT go down it... there were several other small hills and he had fun regardless i think. he even took his UTAH shorts off because all day i had been warning him that i was going to change his clothes, (because he insists on wearing his UTAH shorts all the time, so usually at home its okay by me) so anyways when i said we were going to ride his bike he said "i would be happy to change my shorts!" it was really funny that he remembered and put it together. and he was happy. until after the park, and then he wanted his utah  shorts back. haha... i didnt see that one coming. i didnt bring them though, so he had to deal with it, but he did get over it pretty quickly, we went to the gym, and he loves the childcenter there. i forgot my workout shorts, so i swam laps in the pool. which was a great workout, its been so long since i've done that. i don't like swimming laps without goggles though...freestyle is the most comfortable stroke and i can't stand doing it without goggles...but it was a good workout, one i will incorporate more often! then me and dan went down the waterslides a few times, and they called me in for abby so we just packed up and left. and then went to the float parade preview. so not much else new, lots of posts lately...my handbag came today for the stroller, which was really fun to get! i did get the house clean today. that felt night. we've been running a lot with the events and such, and it had gotten quite messy. vacuuming is one of my favorite jobs just because it makes SUCH a difference. it just LOOKS clean, and it IS clean, because you have to pick everything else up first....so it feels nice to have things back in order. anyways, just waiting for the children to go to sleep. i heard andrew singing Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam and went in and he was jumping in front of abbys crib everytime he said Sunbeam, making her laugh. i really look forward to getting them their own rooms, but for now they really like being together i think. they might miss that. but i will not miss them waking each other up, having to usually split their bedtimes because they keep each other up, one waking up in the morning and waking the other one too early...that sort of thing. anyways here are some pics.
