playing catch up again:)

Sorry i haven't blogged much lately, its not that i don't think about it, which i do every day probably. however dan is studying like crazy to pass another test for insurance, series 6 license. and its pretty tough, he is pretty much always studying or taking quizes or taking a break, and when he does take a break, i don't really want to come sit on the computer. if i need to check email or call someone, i have my phone. what we've been up to lately...well saturday jen and margo came down to give abby her b-day presents, since they are going to hawaii for jens birthday, which is 3 days after abbys so they will leave early, and miss abbs. abby is getting back to a "normal" (knock on wood. its WAY early to consider normal) sleep schedule. the normal part i guess is that the past couple nights she hasn't been ending up on dans pillow. its just kind of a hard game to play with her. she is getting to where she won't scream and wake up andrew when i take her back to bed (which at first she did, thus allowing her back with us. i would rather her go right back to sleep than scream and wake up andy as well, and lose out on at least an hr of precious sleep. being pregnant takes it out of me! let alone being up all hours of the night.) so when i take her back to bed, she is starting to quietly stick. for a little bit. sometimes she is back within 10 minutes, and this happens 3 or 4 times, then andrew wakes up...and then i start wondering what i ought to do... but we have actually had a couple times lately where she has slept IN her bed all night. until like 5 or 6. which is good enough for me if that happens. andrew and abby are both sleeping in a queen bed in andys room (until we move...which has no date yet, but must be soon right?) and actually they really love sleeping together. i think that will create a new problem when they do get their own rooms. soooo we'll see. i am now 15 wks. i have my ultrasound on the 28th, which i am really excited about. i am thinking boy, but who knows. i thought abby would be a boy. and i thought andrew would be a girl. andrew always talks about having a little brother- he is very clear that is his preference. he has said some really funny things lately, since i posted last. i need to check facebook and get them on here...here are some of my recent thoughts i had posted on facebook. i find sometimes i post them there, and forget to note them here. but this is our actual record, so for the record;) a few thoughts i've had over the past couple weeks:

"Took the kids to the kids expo and saw iron man, then took them swimming. I love spending days like this just doing fun stuff. Now making pumpkin chocolate chip cookies:)"

"I love the smell of fresh rain. And I love how clean and bold all the colors of the world are after a good rain. Rain :even though you ruined my plans for the park, I love you (once in a while- don't get too comfortable). And I love even more that it was RAIN and not snow!!" (note- we did get TONS of snow today. took the kids swimming, and drove home in quite a snow storm...ugh)
" I Cant believe Abby will be 2 in a wk and a half! In some ways, it feels like she has been here forever, but has it really been that long since we first held that little baby girl? What a blessing she has been! Sooooo happy and so much fun!!!"
"Yay! After a whole 7 days, my mom is out of canada and back in the good ole USA! Feels nice to be able to call her again!" (she helped my sister jenny and her fam drive from AK to Spokane WA- jenny if you read this -i DO NOT have your phone number, since you must have a new one...)
"While I was getting Abby up from her nap and mixing the butters/ sugars for our cookies, Andrew was busy making waterfalls with the flour and oats. Waterfalls of flour and oatmeal..." (luckily he DID try to keep it in the bowl , so cleanup wasn't as bad as it could have been...
"Today when At the expo, Ironman was there and asked all the kids "who wants to be a super hero?!" Andrew didn't answer so I said, "do you want to be a Super hero?". Andrew "no, I just want to be a garbage man". Lol. He was pretty scared for a while even tho he "loves" ironman, (still not sure how he even knows who it is...)"
"Andrews thoughts on our snowy day: "it's so foggy we can't even see Alaska!"... Since from slc, we usually can;)"
"Yesterday I asked Andrew "should we make Hawaiian haystacks or chicken pot pies?" Andrew said "chicken pot pies, but wait until I'm 21." me" I'm not sure I want to wait that long". Andrew " umm well wait until after I die to make chicken pot pies." they must sound pretty good to him!! Haha"
"I like teaching primary- yesterday dan asked "who was the first prophet on the earth?" (Adam), and one little guy (5 yrs old) said "oh I know that one! He's on the one dollar bill!!"

So that kind of gives you an idea of what we have been up to. i still have a hard time thinking its march, i feel stuck in january. abbys birthday is only a few days away! well, on to the pictures.
i realized after this picture, it works best if the foot holders are both straight down, andrews seat was reclined some, so its sort of up here.
here is the stroller another way (i've been trying to take pics of all the ways i can position the seats)

lately abby has been trying to stay awake as long as possible, and then crashing somewhere. here are some pics of that.
this was actually a nap...but still cute.
these two pictures above are my kids at church sunday! wahoooo! the whole sacrament meeting they both SLEPT the whole time. it was awesome. what did we do to deserve that!?
they love each other so much! its so cute. right now they are sleeping, and abby is RIGHT next to andrew. she always snuggles up to him. its sooo cute.
its cute tonight for FHE, we were talking about being kind. i asked abby how she could be kind, and she said "Jesus". i thought that was so sweet. she knows Jesus is kind.
my first batch of bread using STEVIA! thats right folks! and it was some of the best bread ever. never going back to honey!
when we saw Ironman. andrew was so scared, even though now he won't admit it. and by the end, he was ok.
at the safety fair (where IRONMAN was)
andrew in sharing time, he is the cutest sunbeam! i think dan took this pic. he is sooo cute sitting up there. the other day they said "what can we do to follow Heavenly Fathers plan?" andrew said "be patient". hahah. then they said "why do we follow Heavenly Fathers plan?" andrew said "because Jesus loves us".
i took a couple pics for marys in-laws and andrew and abby were with me, andrews job was to make them laugh.
we took her on the carousel last week- she LOVED it. hardly got her off.
just the kids playing. they love their train table....
blowing out her cupcake jen brought her
andrew was toooo excited to "help" open her gifts...
she LOVES musical cards
a new doll! from aunt jen. complete with a blankey like abbys and pillow, and a little bath tub for the baby (who can go in the bath)
its stuck!
happy girl!
love this one, her poor nose is a little runny and red (she has this crappy cold...), but she is so cute.
brushing babys teeth. baby doesn;t really have hair, so maybe thats why...
she has become such a nurturer, she LOVES taking care of her babies.
another issue with this age for her- she is always trying to strip. in the car- shoes and socks off, every time. at the gym- shoes, socks and pants gone. lucky for onesies, otherwise she tries and does take off her diaper.
andrew LOVES her megablox from grandma. he has played with them for hours the past couple days.
abby with her baby before church on sunday. she just looked so cute.
giving baby kisses
so handsome:)
wanting me to take pictures of the baby.
in the car when she is falling asleep, i will say "abby you stay awake!" and she laughs and pulls this kind of face ,she scrunches up her face with a huge smile. its the cutest thing. i tried to get her to do it here, but its not the same. i will catch that look sometime;)
and thats goodbye! and goodnight. i am so tired. the kids seem to wake up by 5:30 or 6 everyday, and that is NOT when i am used to waking up. they used to always sleep til like 7 or 8....
see ya later!

Andrew and Abby and getting so big, and growing up so fast. Andrew looks more and more like a little boy and less and less like a toddler. I love them so much! They are both so very precious. Thanks for sharing the cute pictures. Love ya!
