San Diego Zoo

 where to go next....?

 abby was so scared of all the animals...poor little lamb.

 riding the gondola's, we ALL loved that part. it was a great time to get a 10 minute rest from walking, and the kids LOVED seeing the sights from up there. one of the favorite things from the San Diego Zoo.

 lovin the ride! he loves helicopters, as most little boys do, and so it was a real treat for him to "drive" one.

 polar bears are his favorite bear, and one of his favorite animals. he often pretends to be one, and tells me that polar bears laugh when you pet them. its a good thing we don't live close to any...

 abby was too scared to sit on any of the animal statues, but andrew LOVED them.

 my cute little guy. he LOVED this place, he thought that gorilla he is playing on was an "andrew gorilla", so the rest of the day we had to call him "gorilla" or "Andrew gorilla".

 the plants were so pretty at the zoo. i was really surprised with a lot of southern california, it was ugly! the moutains were pretty dead looking, and i thought there was too much urban blight. it made me miss alaska. the complete opposite. but the zoo was so pretty.

The Rhinos...andrew was super scared of them. even though he used to sometimes say he had a rhinoceros friend eating breakfast with him.

she was really good just chillin in the stroller most of the day. she loves her sunglasses. too bad that day she broke them, so no more sunglasses the rest of the trip...

we love the cats!

i think this was his favorite part. he was having so much fun here!! he didn't want to leave his area.

Ok so i know this post has been a long time comin, but its here! blogger has been having issues with space showing up in your acct. its FINALLY working. enjoy some pics! we really enjoyed the zoo, but to be honest, i have to say i like Omaha's zoo better. both are great, but omahas was just a bit cooler i thought. we still had a great time, and saw more animals than we had time for! andrew was such a champ, most of the time he walked. he didn't want to ride in the stroller much at all, but at times i made him take a break. abby was really good about riding in the stroller most of the time, which was nice for me because even on her "leash" backpack, its hard to control her. she doesn't want to be told where to go, or what to look at. she wants to do her own thing, and if she feels coerced, she flips out. she tries to do the exact opposite of whatever i want her to. that goes with everything with her, if i am trying to feed her something, she'll spit it out or throw it, or both. if i let her do it herself (once she has calmed down), she will eat it just fine. anyways, well enjoy the pics! i will add a post about disneyland soon.
