A Day In the Life...

so i wasn't sure what to title this post, because it was just kind of random stuff that happens during the day. jen got andrew this little chef outfit. he loves to help cook, but doesn't consider himself a little chef (and won't let me call him little chef) unless he has the outfit like ratatouille.

many people on our street have basketball hoops...andrew stopped at every one and had to shoot for a while. he actually made it several times with his football... he's pretty good.
watching "the game". she was very entertained watching andrew shoot.

here he was trying to blow bubbles on abbys head? i am not sure why, but she didn't appreciated getting sprayed with bubble solution.

she is getting SOOOO good at walking. its been like witnessing a miracle, friday (the 20th) she just decided to walk and has been amazing! she can turn (she just pivots on one foot, like a little fish would turn using one fin. its pretty cute) and she can bend over to pick stuff up and get back up, and she just walks everywhere now. i am so proud of her!
hmmm...a wood chip. should i try it?

she loves her own little snacks. she must have been sort of hungry at the park, she wouldn't stop eating wood chips, she was constantly trying to eat them, so i grabbed her snacks (kix) and she was very happy after that, and left the wood chips alone finally...

he was so excited and proud of himself for climbing up the slide. he has always watched the bigger kids do this, and now he is finally big enough!

he was forever blowing bubbles. i thought he was probably going to end up passed out or something with how much he was blowing his hardest....we got this bubble wand at walmart for $1, i think it was money well spent. he LOVED it, and its always windy here so you actually don't even have to blow, the wind makes GREAT bubbles.

she loves playing peek a boo now days.

i love her curly hair right after the shower
she LOVES to tear apart tissues...

(she's awake here. just fyi)

so i started this post last night, but it was sort of late, and i was keeping dan up with the typing and clicking of the keyboard and mouse, which is really unusual for him. i am a VERY light sleeper and that would totally keep me awake, about anything keeps me awake, but dan is usually the deepest sleeper... when andrew wants or needs something at night RARELY does he even try to get dans attention, because its nearly impossible to wake him up. so anyways, i left this and mary got home, so we chatted for a while into the night. part of me wanted to go to bed, because it was after midnight when i finally did, but the other part of me, the side i decided to listen to, whispered "when will you have this chance again?". i don't know when i will have this chance again, to have mary around, single, and have everybody asleep, and just talk. i have SO missed that with my family being so far away. when i was younger i use to wonder why everybody stayed up into the night when we would get together, and now i understand. it isn't that important to get sleep (haha although for me its always been a favorite, in kindergarten when i was VIP for the week, my favorite thing to do was "go to bed".) but its like sleep can really come anytime, i can sleep when i am old. but i always wish i could visit with my family more, after all family is the most important thing. and usually my family is so far away that i wish i could just chat in person. but anyways, so its been nice to visit with mary and see her before another chapter of her life begins. i'm sure it will be full of surprises and turns in the road she will not expect, as it has been for the rest of us i think. so anyways, my deep thoughts for the day... today we are going with marys fiance to the temple. that will be so nice. i love the peace there. i walk in and i usually feel almost giddy, its just SO nice to go home every once in a while. i really want to start going like every week, i think i might try to start a thing with the women in our ward so we can take turns watching kids and maybe like a temple group that goes once a week and rotates who watches kids... i think that would be so nice.
