there is my older sister mary (just by 18 mo)... she's good at this sort of thing. she runs marathons, is a rock climber, is going to be a guide on the river in jackson this summer, graduated an outdoor rec leadership person, in so many ways you'd never know we were related. but then sometimes when we hang out, i remember how much we are still alike. we were always together growing up..."rods baby girls" is what we were called until i was like over 10. haha. still have all the same memories growing up. most of the time we find the same things funny. she brings me out of my comfort zone, and i like that most of the time. she can get me to do things almost no one else can if she has confidence in me. maybe its something about her being my older sister, i just still trust her judgement the way a little sister always trusts the older sibling...growing up, if mary would do it, then i would think that was probably ok and that i could go ahead and give it a try. and she never steered me wrong on anything of importance, to which i am grateful for her example. quite on the contrary, often she would say things that would make me want to try a little harder to be better. like when she went off to college, and i missed her so much, and she came home sort of with a new love of the scriptures, and it gave me a greater desire to know them. i'm glad she's home from her mission, its been so nice seeing her face and spending time with her before she gets married april 10.

watching brad climb on top of the swings....

he wasn't sure about slack lining...

here we go.....

haha i had to take a picture of her in the swing. i had gone around the slide mound to find andrew (even though i felt really safe here, i always need to have him in sight...) and she was just sitting here right where i left her....

Happy St Patricks Day! I made green eggs and bacon for breakfast, but andrew would not touch those green eggs. he asked for yellow eggs....

she is very much a mommy and daddys girl. she also likes jen, but when she is getting tired or what not, sometimes for no apparent reason, she doesn't want to be with anybody else.

mary and brad

here is brad falling off the slackline....

trying to walk the line...SOOO hard. i did end up being able to take a couple steps. it takes an incredible amount of balance. i didn't realize i was so imbalanced. hats off to mary and brad here, they can both walk the whole thing, and do tricks, like brad can get up from his knees, and mary can turn circles....

those slides would really spit him out every time, luckily here he stayed on his feet. he loved this park, the slides, the swings, tunnels, definitely one i will go to again! its in Copperton. and not as far away as you might think. it was so quiet though, i loved it. it was in the middle of these sugar house like houses, and just so quiet, i just felt SAFE there. i didn't feel like there were predators anywhere (and thats unusual for me! i'm paranoid.) i felt like my kids and myself were safe by ourselves there. even though i was with mary and b-rad. there was just a good feeling there. and it was a really fun big park!!!

mary and brad had a little foam airplane, he was throwing it up in the air here. he thought that was pretty cool.

beautiful boy

and our little old lady...

these metal slides were a hit! and they were super fast. they spit andrew out every time, but he seemed to love it.

baby blue...was the color of her eyes....mary and brad were hiding in this huge tire. it took us a little while to find them, i didn't know you could climb IN them!

my beautiful babe.

Wow, I didn't know a park could be so much fun! Those slides look like they would send you down pretty quick.
