An Eventful Friday

So today was quite a day. We stuck around home this morning (picked up a bassinet for the babe:) and dan still had lost his voice so he stayed home from work. the kids helped dan wash the cars, water the garden, we did some cleaning... abby was doing a gymnastics trick and her foot hit the tv stand, she was in meltdown over dan wanting to put a bandaid on her little cut foot. it was a serious deal. little did she know...
so then we met up with a couple of my friends from the gym i haven't seen really since i quit in october much, it was fun to see them. one of them had a new baby 6 weeks ago so we got to meet the new addition. we went to the herriman splash park, abby and isabella enjoyed that while dan and andrew looked around at best buy. then we went to jennys pool to swim and followed that by going to the park near her house for some bike riding, pizza and playground. everything was going fine until abby crashed, then we decided to take her in to insta care just to make sure her cuts got cleaned well, and with the ones on her face i wasn't looking forward to trying to clean those out. there were some chunks of skin i wasn't sure where came from, and her mouth was bleeding quite a bit. i felt so bad for her, her hands were just raw and it looked so painful! luckily she had her helmet on, which will now need replacing, and im just glad it wasn't her head that got cracked open. they numbed her face before cleaning it which i think was very very helpful. it ended up being a much later night than planned, but im glad we are all home safe and sound now. enjoy the pictures!
oh- i am not sure i've posted this before- abby has learned to swim! last time we went swimming we let her take off the life jacket, and she did awesome, swam right away! still learning to breath and hold her breath under water but she can totally swim. not perfect, and we stay right by her and keep her in our sight- but she is amazing to me. she learns so fast, and is really an amazing athlete at whatever she tries. she even swam across jen's pool several times on her own. we are so proud, and she is so proud of herself (and she should be!).
oh by the way- as far as pregnancy news- i am 38 weeks. the baby had been transverse but turned on his own head down for my appt thurs (YAY! i was super nervous about a version so i am glad we can hopefully avoid that! hopefully swimming today didn't mess that up...) and so far i've had tons of braxton hicks contractions and some cramping but nothing serious:( the good news = looks like my parents will be in town when he's born ! the bad news- looks like hes not coming on his own early... i can't wait to sleep after he's born. its so hard to get in bed, out of bed, toss and turn, bla bla bla bla... love feeling him kick tho. thats an amazing miracle. the doc estimated the baby thurs to be about 8 pounds, i am hoping hes estimating big. we shall see soon enough! as long as we are both healthy and delivery goes well i am happy. everybody is very excited to meet the little guy, he's already got quite a fan club here at home. his older brother and sister who understand more of the process are sooo excited and cannot wait to meet him. isabella isn't quite sure what to think , she knows i have a baby in my tummy that will come out someday but she doesn't understand time, and probably doesn't quite get the reality of the situation. anyways its late, i am going to try and get some sleep!

dan took these the other night, pretty sunset:)

small garden (some other plants on the other side of the house) but its somethin!

carefully watering our garden

38 weeks... just a few days left!

isabella looks so happy here!

these are fun pictures!

she LOVES her daddy.

gearing up for a jump in the pool!

she has gotten SO independent in the water! when we went memorial day weekend she wouldn't let us go for a second! we still have to keep a very close eye because this life jacket is slightly big, so sometimes she can swallow water but mostly she does great!

38 weeks. huge.

dan was playing with manual settings- nice work on the lighting here!

isabella loves to help!

jen brought dinner and drinks. awesome aunt!!!

you can see her bike at the bottom of the hill she crashed coming down...

poor abby at the instacare, she didn't talk hardly at ALL and just looked sick the whole time. i think she was in a bit of shock to be serious, she was shaking at times, and i was worried she was nauseated or something but she kept shaking her head no... just sat like that quietly the whole time. we sang primary songs and that helped relax her , she loves primary songs. any songs actually....
so glad the helmet took the beating instead of her head!

and we are finally home.

everybody was worn out!
