Fabulous Fourth of July

Look its a trampoline!

its a star!

they had fun chasing jenny with water guns...

getting some water ballons

playing on the trampoline

yay! more water balloons!

notice abby trying to get her pink balloon back....

she got it back...and was treating it like her baby. "oh my water ballon!"

she pretty much had this reaction every time someone took the hose...

chasing people with the hose is a lot of fun!

i love her chubby little face

cousins on the 4th of july

she LOVES trying to catch ants... she is kind of fascinated with them.

i can hear her little voice "see it!?!"

it was funny, my kids were the only ones who touched the jigglers. they ate the whole pan of them...

sam and dan enjoying a game of catch...

andrew and carter were washing their car....

trying REALLY hard to play paddle ball

why walk when you can RUN?

playing Red Rover (or as carter called it "runned over runned over!"

andrew trying to be simon for simon says, and abby helping.

sam, jenny and dan.

not sure why his shirt was wet...but he enjoyed the sparklers

abby was soooo tired. she was setting herself up on the blanket and trying to stay awake...

im SO tired... please put me to bed:)

concentration....

two at one time! thats tricky:)

watching the fireworks display put on my dan and sam

waving at a car passing by...

cuddling with grandma watching fireworks

both were a little nervous with the fireworks

andrew, jenny and carter.

watching the fireworks- this was right before a huge aerial firework went bad and tipped and nearly blew us all to pieces. very very scary. right after i took this picture i saw it start coming out way and scrambled to grab my babies and try to get them inside...it was very close. we were very lucky we weren't hit.

we survived. dan was sort of blinking here, but you get what you get.

SO we had a great fourth of July, except for the crazy firework spoken of above... we had baked beans, some tuna salad (which didnt turn out to my liking...), corn on the cob, bbq chicken, four star jello, root beer bloats with home made ice cream, deviled eggs, star shaped jigglers, watermelon, burnt hot dogs (MMM!) and lots of fun with family. the kids played outside with the water in the afternoon (we all went to see CARS 2 at noon). They loved splashing each other with the water ballons, hose and jumping on the trampoline. then we ate and played in the front yard, kids played with toys/chalk/bikes...jen and margo had some activities (paddle ball, red rover ,simon says, red light green light) and then we we did fireworks. it was a lot of fun. i LOVE fourth of July, its one of the best holidays. we also had GREAT weather. it sprinkled in the afternoon but  then was just cloudy and warm, but not hot and not sunny. it felt great.
