Swiss Days and life...

on the way to the viewing, we didnt get any pictures there. it was a tough week that week for everybody, but things are getting back to normal.

I thought it was very sweet of andrew to take such care as to where the paperweight for the balloons we let go went. i think he thought it was an important piece.

Here we are at swiss days! we had so much fun. nice family time to visit, shop all the booths, swim, and just hang out together for a weekend!

the duplex we stayed at, half was ours, half was somebody elses (obviously...), it was so nice. so roomy, and the same price as if we had all gotten our own hotel rooms. we had a great time!

the water was pretty cold, but the weather was nice and hot, so we eventually got used to it. then we moved to the indoor pool, which was warmer.

carter and andrew and abby played so well. most of the time. usually somebody ended up crying, but thats because they are all 3 and under.

I like that saying for this pic, because i can never get the kids to smile with us...

So here are our pictures from Swiss Days, and some family pics we took up there, and some pics from around the house since we got back from Alaska. I've had a lot to catch up on, we had a great time at Swiss Days, we went up thurs-monday. it was a great break, we went up i think just a day or two after the graveside service we had for Dans father, and it was a welcome relief. we visited, made mores, had bbqs, went to the booths, found some fun things, went swimming, hot tubbing....good times. we are getting things settled here, getting our house back in order (ok so it pretty much IS in order now), after bringing a lot of stuff home from dans fathers place, which was great, but at first left our house swamped, i had just gotten back from AK, and things were everywhere! i couldn't stand it for long...and now we are more organized than ever. i got totes for the kids rooms, and their toys are so organized! abby can't get most of them, because she doesn't know how to open drawers in the totes, but thats not such a bad thing.....school for little man is going well, he LOVES it. today i took both kids in, and they both had ear infections, poor andrews were really bad, he had one that had ruptured. so he has amox and drops for his ears, and abby just the amox. hers wasn't very bad, but im glad we caught it. Andrew never did tell me his ears hurt. i kept him home yesterday from school, but thought he was ok today, however when i picked him up he didnt seem too good, and the fever was back as much as ever...so took him in, it was 103, poor little guy. cried all the way to the dr, thinking some horrible thing lay ahead (the past few visits he had to have blood drawn (for headstart), and shots before that, ect...), so he was very relieved the dr didnt hurt him. i am well, just got onto maintenance from the hcg diet, i hadn't done maintenance quite right before, so it didnt work as well as it should have. but thats okay with me, i'll do it until it works. its really not that hard, and its worth it to me...dan is just busy with insurance. which is good....we got our sequoia, life is treating us well. i feel like im sort of in one of those spots where you get to catch your breathe for a minute before life hits you with another big trial...and im enjoying it. we've been stocking up a lot on food storage, i love that. it feels SO good. every time i buy something for it, its like a weight just lifts a little more off my shoulders, knowing my family will have food if something were to happen, and we couldn't get to the store, or a natural disaster happened, or something like that....i couldn't bear to see my babies go hungry.
