on our way to the glacier...started out with the stroller. soon decided to leave it on the wayside until we got back...

they moved these little walking slats around to accommodate the streams...

the glacier was covered in dirt and rocks

i love how green it was all around

VERY sharp ice, it takes 10 feet of snow to make 1 ft of glacier ice, andrew fell and got scraped up very bad.

getting a drink. it was the best water EVER...

a little glacier stream running down the glacier

coming home from anchorage on the 23 of august, with my dad.

abby out playing too

here i come mom!

he LOVED riding bikes all day at my parents, they had a perfect sized little hill down into their driveway, and i could see him the whole time.

his new trick on bikes...

notice the cool fish behind them, they let the local schools decorate different things in the park, kinda cool.

my kids both love the swings

emma helping abby get around, it sure was nice having helpers at the park!

here we go! they both look so happy and excited eh?

wee! terrance helping abby go down the slide

my fav one of emma and abby

at the Soldotna Park, it was really fun!
So this is when we went to the Matanuska Glacier, its privately owned, because some people who had homesteaded the land many years ago included it in their property. its awesome! i am sure it drives the state crazy, they can't regulate visitors, and this family lets you pay to go walk around as much as you want, wherever you want. we had to hurry because dan flew home that night, but it was neat! and so gorgeous up there.
