Abbys 7th Birthday

Our Abigail turned seven! She is a strong spirit, she can hold her ground, she is a force to be reckoned with! She is very mothering and so good with Owen and most of the time so good with Bella. Its a real strong point of hers.  I asked her what she wanted for her birthday breakfast (I had in mind some rainbow waffles with whipped cream, or kneaders french toast, or at least chocolate chip pancakes), and she said "Oatmeal!!" so we did that. I asked what she wanted for dinner "Mac n Cheese!!!" so there you have it. We got to attend Carters baptism that day, so I let her open a new dress and necklace to wear to the baptism so she would still feel a little special on someone elses special day too. I tried so hard, we have had so many power struggles, and the past year and a half has been SO incredibly difficult with her, that I wanted to make SURE she knows we love her. I decorated the house as best as i could, rainbow colors or streamers, balloons, banners, I pulled it all out! I think she liked it. We had a rough time when she went to bed, but overall a good day. She got lots of crafty stuff for her birthday and she is very happy about that. Yesterday she and Bella spent a good hour or so painting with watercolors. Lets hope this next year we make a big break with her. Last year her friends party was cancelled because she was being so mean and disrespectful,  and had one been planned this year it would have also been cancelled. Instead I talked to the kids a while back and said "lets go to Lagoon as a family instead of friend parties" and they thought that sounded like fun so that is the plan there. It will probably save me money and will be much less stressful:)  Here are some pictures, we had my parents down to visit last weekend so she got a gift from them at that time, as well as andrew.
