I'm Back. For REAL.
SO i realize its been since October since I've posted ANYTHING. See we went to Disneyland, and Dan's phone had most of the pics, or at least enough to motivate me to wait until I got them from him. So i kept waiting. now its May. So much has happened, I'm not sure where to begin but I am determined to get back into it. If i had done this in January like i had thought i would, i would be that much more caught up, so here goes. I got pregnant after disneyland, I am not scheduled for induction of said pregnancy 4 weeks from today. Can't come soon enough! the kids are wrapping up school, andrew has started soccer. Abby has been in gymnastics at a great place, and learned to do a backbend, as well as cartwheel, and so much more. she absolutely LOVES gymnastics. Next month we will be taking a break from it though, with the baby coming, and her and andrew are scheduled for tonsillectomy a week after the baby. its going to be a crazy month, i am hoping my mom will be able to be there for those events... if not, we will survive. this spring has been crazy windy. it blew our trampoline through our fence into a neighbors yard, and another storm blew the fence down again (but we have the tramp tied down). isabella is turning into a little girl from our baby. she was potty trained in january and i can't say how lovely it is having no child in diapers for the first time in about 7 years! i LOVE it. if newborns weren't so cute it would be SO hard to go back. but we are all around very excited to meet our little man. isabella asks every day to see the baby. she also mentions her birthday "is comin up" every day and asks for cake. and still asks for dora every day. she also has a thing for tights- hates leggings but LOVES tights. and when we say "get dressed" we better mean a DRESS. she's a fancy girl. she also LOVEs church, and her 'sweet part" of the day is usually "go my sunday". when we drive to church she often says "I love church. mom do you love church? dad do you love church?" she really loves it. she is exceptionally difficult during sacrament meetings tho, as she is usually ready for a nap...but loves nursery and takes great pride in her colorings every week. she holds them right in front of my face "see? pretty!" she's so fun. she is also learning to put her own shoes on, which is very very helpful! abby loves riding her bike, scooter or playing with friends outside most. andrew got a remote control car from B-rad and its all the rage. he LOVES it, and also a new bat from Brad thats really cool, its for hitting like sky balls or those kinds. he loves sports of any kind, and he cracks us up with his spending habits. from allowance to birthday money the things he's purchased for himself are - running shoes, basketball shoes, and there was something else... but it was small. i cant remember. we just sort of laugh at the shoe buyer in him. at 7 years old. which thrills me because he needs that stuff anyways. i would much rather him earn and spend on it, and learn to appreciate the cost of such items;) mary has been living here since october as well. Well not HERE, but in Millcreek. its been so fun having my sister around and available during the day to play. we have made bread a lot, gone on a couple hikes (not as many as i would like, pregnancy wears me out...) and gone to the zoo, downtown, just stuff like that. so sad though, she is moving the end of the month up to jackson WY area. we will miss them so much. isabella & abby especially loved hanging out with LEo during the day, abby has been heard to say "Leo's so cute, i'm gonna marry him!" and she is such a good help with him, keeping him safe and playing with him. isabella loves him too, and he follows her around quite a bit. i will get to posting some pictures some time, but for now at least you know we are alive & quite well. i'm thankful this pregnancy hasn't had any complications (he was breech forever but they think he's head down now), and though i've been really uncomfortable- tons of braxton hicks (some not so nice!), restless legs, leg cramps at night, basically all around trouble sleeping most of the time, and being tired... i am now almost done and we'll go from a family of 5 to 6. Dan is done with school for the semester, til fall. so that is also a huge highlight of the month. now if we could only get him an earlier shift. it would be heavenly to have him home for dinner every night! Oh- we did have some special visitors this spring too. In january my dad had a medical conference, and we got to see him & swim at the hotel pool- which isabella thinks is HIS pool and wants to swim whenever we talk about him. then in April my mom & dad both came for another conference (my mom had dental work here), and that was really fun to see them again! my brother & his wife Michelle came down too, and it was during spring break which was perfect! so much fun that week. We did a hike, toured the capital, did the zoo (5 hours! longest i've ever spent there, and we didnt even see all the animals...), went swimming, did a birthday party for Alivia, and lots of stuff in between. i was completely exhausted after that week. but it was fun, and i didnt have to worry about school which was great. I will post a few highlight pics, and hopefully as we go on, i will post some back dated pics of what we've been up to. My Canon DSLR broke de broke, not sure exactly but almost sure its the shutter thats gone out. I send it back to Canon today. I'm hoping it can be repaired, but if not looks like i will have to get a new camera body. not sure at all what i would get. i really have loved my 30D so i'm hoping it can be repaired. a new shutter would make it like a brand new camera again, and i'm ok with that. but i told dan i've GOT to have something before this baby is born, i would die without a real camera. i've tried printing phone pics- its JUST NOT THE SAME. grainy, dull and lacking luster all around. now if only i had my thanksgiving point membership again- i love going there to take pics of the kids. we missed the tulip festival this year, which was sort of sad. i was super jealous seeing everybodys tulip pics. but oh well. life goes on. I better get going, its soccer practice tonight, so i've got to get isabella up from her nap, get abby from preschool, and andrews having a friend come over today so we'll need to leave for practice right after the friend leaves...i am super un-motivated to cook. i even went to the grocery store the last two days in a row and came back basically empty handed. i just don't have much appetite for anything, and i don't feel like cooking... so that means i am giving the kids bagels for dinner with a smoothie or something along those lines;) which they will be thrilled about. honestly what I REALLY want for dinner- a nice chocolate milk shake. been craving that for months. and i've had them. i just cant get enough! the costco brand ice cream, some milk and hershey syrup. MMMM. anyways, well thats it for today.
