Halloween

I am writing this post on Nov 5, but it wont be published until i catch up my blog. So this Halloween crept up on me in a couple ways... I had this picture of our family going to a pumpkin patch and picking our pumpkins, maybe doing a corn maze, those kinds of things. well, dan was offered overtime, and took it. it was great because especially while hes going to school extra money is always welcome, however that took up some of our october weekends. halloween came and we had neither pumpkins or time to go do, or carve. dan picked some up from a grocery store for us to carve, but it was 70 degrees on halloween so i let the kids play outside (which they said they would rather do). it was funny, andrew apologized to me saying "sorry we didnt get to go to a pumkin patch mom. but the grocery store has good pumpkins too!" he knew that because he had asked to buy pumpkins at the store before, and i said "no we want to go to pumpkin patch, that will be fun!" but he was so sweet about it. now hes saying he is sad we didnt carve pumpkins, but i dont think it was really a big deal either way. this year Andrew was Captain America. Abby was Cinderella, and also dressed up in a pink princess type dress up. i wasn't too concerned with what they wanted to be, it was just fine with me if they changed their minds at different places. me and the kids went to our wards halloween activity when dan was at a utah game. it was fun, the kids won a "medal" for one of the games and both prize that little plastic medal necklace to this day. infact  i had to take it off of abby tonight for bed. the kids LOVED trick or treating, and abby was still not done an hour after we started. she was even wearing princess shoes, which i did not think could be very comfortable. isabella even went to each door, and i tried to keep her from going in everyones houses. she LOVED being able to hold pieces of candy and wave them around. she knew what was in there! she was a little lady bug. Andrews school did a halloween parade for the parents. it was way cute. he was very excited i was there, and abby was very sad she wasn't in the parade. i should have just let her follow him around, but didnt think of that until it was done. my mother was in town for halloween which was a fun treat!
After halloween (and i mean the day after) we drove to Boise (the kids, my mother and I) for my brother Tom's baby's blessing. I will post more on that in another post.
