so i know its been a while since i posted, just wanted to let ya'll know i am alive and well! since my last post we went fishing out of Seward Alaska, in Resurrection Bay and even in the open ocean. it was a great time. gorgeous. absolutely amazing views and good fish! we caught a lot of black cod, which we called seabass. and i caught 2 silver salmon, and we also caught some ling cod (those were HUGE), and a sea anenome (sp? we let him go) and a 20 leg starfish which we also let go back into the ocean. and some orange fish i dont think we kept either. but it was a blast. we went with my dad, uncle dallas, brother tom, uncle stewie, myself and my husband. and we went on my dads friend Travis's boat. he is a guide by trade, so his boat is bigger than my dads, better for open ocean. then we had cooking and people, and the wedding. 19 grandchildren here. thats a LOT of kids. 3 1yr olds, 5 3yr olds, 1 4yr old, 1 5yr old, 1 7yr old, 1 8yr old, 1 9yr old, 2 11yr olds, and dave, who is 13. my aunt cathy, cousin tammy, uncle dallas, uncle stewie, and ALL my siblings and their spouses (and children who i mentioned earlier) were here. also dons mother and sister were here. and of course my parents. what a house full! it was great to see everybody. and for the first time have EVERYBODY together. never before have all my siblings and their spouses been in the same room. or even the same city at the same time. we waited until it was a little too dark to get a picture, but we got some. and thats what counts, even if its not perfect, we got some. i had a blast being a photographer for my sisters wedding, along with maaret and her nikon D90, both of us got some pretty sweet pictures. it was nice having 2 cameras because we thought of different things to take pictures of, so i think everything got covered. yesterday and the day before i was up in a-town (anchorage). we went to the Matsu Valley- and went to a privately owned glacier (the family had homesteaded the land long ago, so the gov cant come in and overtake it, which probably drives the gov. CRAZy.) it was fun to go hike on it, and see it up close. it was a gorgeous valley, i could easily see why that family chose to settle there. we also went to the tallest man made chocolate waterfall (and do i really need to specify that its man made? show me a natural one....) and we saw caribou, oh i mean reindeer;) and a stuffed polar bear, got some trinkets to take home...all in all a fun day. its funny, some of my favorite things i got i got from costco. but just incase ours didnt have the stuff i liked i got it here anyways. andrew is outside playing. he has had a blast with the 4 wheelers, hasn't ridden them that much, but when my dad or someone does take him out, he loves it. my dad said he kept telling him to go faster and faster. wasn't scared at all. abby has been pretty clingy, although shes made friends finally with my parents and people here most of the time. shes terribly concerned if i so much as walk around the corner....today its sunny and gorgeous out. we will probably go to a festival we just heard of in Kenai, so that should be fun. its my dads birthday today. 61. we also had some sad news, dans dad has passed away. well, i will update pictures and things someday. but for now , this shall do. i have soooo many pictures to upload. but at least i've gone thru most of them. edited- No. but gone thru. some of my favorites i have edited. and given more time, i would edit so many more. but anyways, im out! okay, update, yah i couldnt leave you without any pictures, so i added our family pics.
