Andrews First Day of 1st Grade

So the original picture were somehow erased by my memory card...which stinks but i did try to get some others. I picked him up from school the first day instead of having him ride the bus, and asked if it was 1 thumb up or 2 thumbs up and he said if he had a billion thumbs it would be a billion thumbs up. he was so excited and thrilled to be back in school. after 3 days now, he's not so sure. he said kindergarten was better. he doesnt like not being able to get a drink or go to the bathroom whenever he wants to. i am corresponding with his teacher about this one because i don't want him feeling like he cant get a drink...i just can't support that. so i offered to have him take his own water bottle to use when he needs a drink...he was in tears talking about it and i am hoping at least a large part of that was just because he is probably a little more worn out than normal with full day. even so , i dont want my son crying because he isn't allowed to get a decent drink of water... that said his teacher actually seems super nice, its her first year. here are some pics. abigail starts preschool on tuesday and is very excited about that as well. we went today to meet her teachers and see her classroom.  i think it will be very good for her, she has been dying to go to school just like andrew for a couple years now.
another bit of good news- my neighbor has a huge wooden swing set with slide, rock wall, swings, ect and the kids are as excited as Christmas morning for this one! they have been jealous of that swingset since they put it up. i too am very excited for my kids to have a trampoline AND swingset now!

In the classroom. i love that he proudly wears this hat he made. how long will that enthusiasm continue?
