Trick or Treat!

andrew thought it was SOOO funny

it was a VERY wet halloween. rainy , but not too cold. once it was dark, then it got cold.

 We had a fun halloween. the kids LOVED trick or treating, andrew was soo fast. he would run up to the door, grab his candy and run to the next. abby was much slower, but was steady none the less. she did like getting candy, but was sure to hold tightly to my finger the whole time. very nervous of strangers that one. she LOVED the candy in her bucket though, and said "thank you" every time. after a few houses, she realized thank you meant candy, so she would say thank you before we even got to the front door. sunday was actual halloween, but since we are in utah, it was nice not to trick or treat that day. we went to church...things seemed normal. until we got home and while taking abbys temperature, realizing she had a fever, andrew started telling me something about his nose. i thought he had picked it and made it bleed, and i started to scold him for doing so, and then as i was washing his face, i noticed it wasn't red, it was orange. which pricked my attention pretty quickly. i asked again "what is wrong with your nose?" and he said "i have a skittle stuck", and i looked and sure enough, an orange skittle WAY up his nose. so i called dan who was home teaching, to tell him that abby has a fever and andrew has a skittle stuck up his nose. which made me laugh...i had a hard time being straight faced with andrew when i was talking about how we need to go to the dr so the dr can get the skittle out. maybe i already wrote this down. so she just woke up from a 4 hr nap. i almost didnt know what to do with myself! it was great. i cleaned off my dresser, which has become a place for things of all sorts since cleaning out dans dads house... so that feels good. i've got a tooth ache today, which stinks. i am going into the dentist tomorrow. i HATE that. i get so nervous at the dentist. like what if all of a sudden the numbing stuff stops working. i don't know what i would do. i hope i can get it over with soon! well, time to go pick up little andy roo from school. HAPPY HALLOWEEEN! I'm getting really excited now for Thanksgiving. one of my favorites. i LOVE a holiday just for being thankful for what we have, and what we have been given, and the miracles that made America.
one more funny story from andrew. tonight while eating dinner, i tried to get andrew to drink his milk by saying "this came from very GOOD cows!" and he said "do cows have big hands to give us milk?...no, cows don't have hands to give us milk!" so i said "well, where did this milk come from then?" and he said "umm the milk guy." i thought that was funny. he has said the same thing about cows giving us meat...cows don't have hands to give us meat...haha. what a funny kid!
